Meet the Founder

"I swear I mopped the floors last week or was it last month?"

Homehive Australia Pty Ltd's journey began with Amanda’s personal experience as a new mother navigating the complex and often overwhelming balance of childcare, household tasks, and administrative duties.

After the birth of her daughter Ailana in 2022, Amanda returned to work part-time as a Data Adminstrator, but soon found herself solely responsible for managing the household's daily operations—everything from coordinating childcare and appointments to handling vaccinations and keeping the home organised.

"Why did I need to have 5 different apps?"

Despite her efforts to streamline tasks using tools like Apple Calendar and shared notes, she found that these tools didn’t provide the seamless experience she needed. The need for a better, all-in-one solution to manage family life became clear. After discussing the issue with family and friends, Amanda realised she wasn’t alone—many other mothers and women were facing the same struggles.

"No tech background, where do I begin?"

In 2024, Amanda took the leap to turn this idea into reality. She began researching app development and reached out to developers to explore the best path forward. This led to the official incorporation of Homehive Australia Pty Ltd in early 2025. With the company now established, the development of the Homehive app, designed to simplify and streamline household management for busy families, could begin in earnest.
